The Heart Of The Town
Work has finally started on the former Dairy Site.
Proper Welsh Milk has opened on site. Land for town car parking is allocated.
Flooding
Thanks to the local landowner the County Council were able to place a large gully to help drain Velfrey road more rapidly. Residents received Flood Gates from the Environment Agency to protect their homes.
The AM and County Council helped to get a Floodgate grant from the Environment Agency. The EA came down to visit the site with a mobile unit and display and talked to residents '
Young People
The Carmarthenshire County Council mobile youth club has come to Town. The new Playground at Bryngwenllian was opened. School children catching the bus to school have had the new bus stop they requested.

Henllanfallteg
Hiraeth Crossroads is now a safer waiting area for parents to collect children from the school bus. Roads have been resurfaced and there is more to do. Henllan Crossroads is to have improved access for wide vehicles. Grants from Carmarthenshire County Council have supported The Millennium Hall.
Challenges

The four year term serving you as your County Councillor has been really enjoyable. Thank you sincerely for your confidence and for supporting me in 2008. Since then there have been exceptional efforts from award winning community groups, local businesses, sportsmen and women, innovative individuals and schools. The town centre is busier. New shops and cafes have opened. The rural areas have improved their environment and community facilities with the support of a very proactive Community Association and Community Council. Whitland Memorial Hall, through the outstanding dedication of volunteers, has organised real jobs and courses at the weekly job club. Hywel Dda Interpretive Gardens continues to attract visitors and links to other tourist areas. Digital inclusion has been championed by a local landlady and not to forget we have the best lollipop man in Wales and a singing bus driver! Whitland is Winning lets keep going.
Currently campaigning for more bungalows for the retired, community groups and business to change to Nat West bank, local services in whatever way works for us, train station improvements.

Diolch i'r tirfeddiannwr lleol, mae'r Cyngor Sir wedi gallu gosod cwter fawr i helpu i ddraenio dŵr i ffwrdd yn gyflymach oddi wrth Heol Felffre. Mae'r preswylwyr lleol wedi derbyn gatiau llifogydd wrth Asiantaeth yr Amgylchedd i ddiogelu eu cartrefi.
Mae'r AC a'r Cyngor Sir wedi help i sicrhau grant 'Floodgate” wrth Asiantaeth yr Amgylchedd. Daeth yr Asiantaeth i lawr i ymweld â'r safle gydag uned symudol ac arddangosfa ac i siarad â thrigolion lleol.

Mae clwb ieuenctid symudol y Cyngor Sir Caerfyrddin wedi ymweld â'r dref. Agorwyd Maes Chwarae newydd ym Mryngwenllian. Plant ysgol yn dal y bws i'r ysgol - rwyf wedi llwyddo i gael safle bws newydd y maent yn gofyn amdano.

Henllan Fallteg
Mae Croesfan Hiraeth bellach yn ardal aros fwy diogel ar gyfer rhieni i gasglu plant o'r bws ysgol. Mae ffyrdd wedi cael eu hail-wynebu ac mae mwy i'w wneud. Bydd gwaith yn mynd yn ei flaen cyn bo hir i greu gwell mynediad ar gyfer cerbydau ger Croesffyrdd Henllan. Mae grantiau oddi wrth y Cyngor Sir Caerfyrddin wedi cefnogi Neuadd y Mileniwm.
Heriau
Mae'r 'Grosvenor” wedi cael ei werthu o'r diwedd ac mae gwaith wedi bod yn mynd ymlaen y tu mewn ers Canol Chwefror 2012. (Llun a gymerwyd gan Sue wrth i'r gwaith fynd yn ei flaen ym mis Mawrth).
Mae'r tymor diwethaf o bedair blynedd yn eich gwasanaethu chi fel eich Cynghorydd Sir wedi bod yn hynod bleserus. Diolch yn ddiffuant am eich hyder ac am fy nghefnogi yn 2008. Ers hynny, cafwyd ymdrechion eithriadol gan grwpiau cymunedol, busnesau lleol, pobl o'r byd chwaraeon, unigolion arloesol ac ysgolion. Mae canol y dref yn fwy prysur. Mae siopau a chaffis newydd wedi agor. Mae'r ardaloedd gwledig wedi gwella eu hamgylchedd a chyfleusterau cymunedol gyda chefnogaeth Cymdeithas Gymunedol ragweithiol iawn a'r Cyngor Cymunedol. Mae Neuadd Goffa Hendy-gwyn, trwy ymroddiad rhagorol nifer o wirfoddolwyr, wedi trefnu swyddi go iawn a chyrsiau yn y clwb gwaith wythnosol. Mae Gerddi deongliadol Hywel Dda yn parhau i ddenu ymwelwyr gan greu cysylltiadau i atyniadau twristiaeth eraill. Mae cynhwysiant digidol wedi cael ei hyrwyddo gan dafarnwraig leol a rhaid peidio ag anghofio bod gennym y dyn lolipop gorau Cymru a gyrrwr bws sy'n canu!
